Description

The Monastère des Augustines Museum offers direct contact with Augustinian heritage in the completely refurbished cloister of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, dating to the 17th century. Over 1000 objects and archival documents attesting to their vocation as healers and women of faith are presented in a heritage building built in 1695. The Museum’s mission is to conserve and showcase a collection of 40 000 artifacts and a linear kilometer of archives coming from 12 monastery-hospitals founded by the Augustinians.
