Educational Travel – A PROMISING FIELD

Archéo-Québec, in collaboration with its partners and with the consensus of its members, is developing various archaeological experiences that can be presented as products in the context of cultural tourism. By devoting efforts to developing such experiences, the network intends to design original, complementary products that will encourage new and diverse clienteles to discover archaeology.

Our products include ARCHAEO-NATURE, ARCHAEO-TOUR, ARCHAEO-DIGS, ARCHAEO-GUIDE and ARCHAEO-LEARNING. In developing educational travel learning tourism experiences, the network seeks to create alliances with the tourism industry and to design activities likely to spark the public’s interest in Quebec archaeology. The elaboration of special, made-to-measure activities will act as a catalyst in developing the tourism potential of Quebec’s archaeological sites and to make Quebec archaeology part of an authentic, original tourist experience.
