Presentation: Aventures Ashini is an Aboriginal ecotourism enterprise that organizes stays at Nushuau-nipi (George River), in Northern Quebec, in the company of Innu (long known as Montagnais). The various packages offered by the company let you discover Amerindian people and learn about their history, their distinctive rich culture and their modern way of life.
Activity 1: Fifth Nordic Native Seminar

Description: A major activity for the past five years, the seminar includes conferences, exchanges and discussions on various themes touching Quebec and First Nations societies. Participants share their knowledge with Innu present on the site, who in turn present their lifestyle and rich history.

Activity 2: Immersion in Innu Culture
Dates: Week of August 17 to 25

Description: Experience total immersion in Innu culture on the shores of the George River, 250 km north of Schefferville. Live with the Innu in a traditional camp and take part in their activities, including caribou hunting.
