Presentation: Located in the region’s only Aboriginal community, the Native Museum of Mashteuiatsh offers an opportunity to learn about the Ilnuatsh people through centuries of change and to make contact with a unique living culture. Through exhibitions, cultural activities and animation, visitors become acquainted with the Pekuakamiulnuatsh.

Description: Talk and workshop on “The Ilnuatsh occupation” with Erik Langevin, an archaeologist with Subarctique enr. and the archaeological laboratory of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. The talk will deal with recent discoveries and will be followed by a discussion about artifacts with some of the community’s elders.
