Presentation: A place of national historic significance, protected and presented by Parks Canada, the Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site of Canada introduces visitors to one of the most important periods in Canadian history: the fur trade era. Experience the adventure of the Amerindian trappers, French-Canadian voyageurs and Scottish merchants of this era and discover the place where they set off on their great explorations.

Activity: Lachine Archaeo-Trek

Dates: Saturdays and Sundays throughout August, 9:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
Activity length: 2 hours 30 minutes
Admission fee: $7.80 per person (Reservations required)

Description: Discover the archaeological wealth of historic Lachine through its trading posts, its fur-trade warehouses and the Lachine Canal. Aboard a rabaska canoe, explore this rich heritage and visit a real archaeological dig. This canoe trip will take you from the Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site to the Musée de Lachine!
