Presentation: The Friends of the Patrimoine du Long-Sault is a not-for-profit organization that works, in collaboration with Parks Canada, to promote and present Carillon Canal National Historic Site of Canada. The organization offers guided tours on request. This vast site includes an interpretation centre that relates the history of the Ottawa River.

Admisson Fee: Free (Parking fee: $3.90 a day)
Description: Pail, shovel, trowel and whisk: these are the tools used by young participants to excavate the sand in search of mysterious objects. Discover real fragments of ceramic, glass, and metal while learning the basic techniques of an archaeological dig. These mini-digs are an excellent occasion to discover the fascinating work of archaeologists and learn about the unsuspected resources beneath the ground of Carillon.
