Presentation: A place of national historic significance, protected and presented by Parks Canada, Fort Lennox is located on an island in the Richelieu River. The site presents one of the best preserved British fortifications in North America.

Activity 1: The fabulous destiny of Île aux Noix

Dates: Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14, afternoon
Activity length: 30 to 45 minutes

Description: Discover the fabulous destiny of Île aux Noix as you observe and handle artifacts testifying to the everyday lives of soldiers and their families. Themes such as food, hygiene and shipbuilding will be discussed.

Activity 2: Riverbed discovery tour: an underwater experience!

Dates: Saturdays, August 15 and 29, Sundays, August 16 and 30, 9 a.m.

Description: Navigate on the Richelieu River with an underwater archaeologist and a diver to discover unimagined treasures. Make a stop at Île aux Noix and relive the military history of Fort Lennox. Then, head south in search of the shipwrecks that are the archaeological jewels of the Richelieu River!
