Presentation: Tread upon 5000 years of history. Pointe-du-Buisson’s natural haven on the shores of the St. Lawrence River was a favourite of the Amerindian peoples who occupied the site for 5000 years. Today, this archaeological park, designated as a National Historic Site of Canada, invites you to discover a rare forest, exhibits, an archaeological laboratory open to the public and a reconstructed Iroquoian hut and fishing camp.
Activity 1: Archaeologist for a day
Dates: Tuesday, August 4, to Sunday, August 30, 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Activity length: 3 hours
Admission fee: Adults: $18 Children (8 to 17): $10 Families (2 adults and 2 children): $51
Fees include a visit of Park facilities (Reservations required)
Description: Accompanied by an archaeologist, you will unearth vestiges of the mysterious past of Pointe-du-Buisson, a site with 5000 years of history. You will participate in a real archaeological dig and analyse your finds in a real archaeological laboratory. This is your chance to be an archaeologist for a day!

Description: Enjoy a taste of corn and sturgeon prepared the way Amerindians cooked them thousands of years ago and see how these techniques are still used today. Discover the savoury taste of smoked fish and bite into an ear of corn roasted to perfection! A veritable delight for the taste buds!
