Presentation: Situated in the historic quarter of Charlesbourg’s Trait-Carré, this old gristmill is today a local heritage interpretation centre. It focuses on the people who helped to establish the Trait-Carré, the families that put down roots and led their daily lives here, and the millers who worked the mill – in short, all those who were part of the story of New France.

Activity: Digs for kids

Dates: Sundays in August, continuously from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Activity length: 1 hour 15 minutes
Admission fee: Individual: $4; Family of two adults and two or more children: $16; Children under 5: free (Reservations required)

Description: “Digs for kids” is a family-oriented activity, specially designed to let inquisitive youngsters make archaeological discoveries through archaeological digs, laboratory investigations and clay-modelling workshops.
