Presentation: The Maison des Jésuites de Sillery is an interpretation centre devoted to the momentous encounter between Amerindians and missionaries. A variety of exhibits and a collection of archaeological and ethnological objects of Amerindian, French and British origin bear testimony to different occupations of the site.
Activity: First Nations Archaeo celebration
Date: Saturday, August 15, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (postponed to Sunday, August 16, in case of rain)

Description: This Archaeo-Amerindian celebration is a perfect occasion for the whole family to become more familiar with lifestyles during the Contact Period, when First Nations and Europeans initially encountered each other. Shows, food tasting workshops, special animation, legends, interpretation of artifacts, face painting for children and simulated digs are scheduled for the event.
